Jasmina Tomic was born in Belgrade, in what is now known as Serbia, and immigrated during her adolescence to New Zealand. After graduating from Elam School of Fine Arts, Jasmina established herself as an up and coming artist, she exhibited in number of galleries and had her work selected to become public art. She then moved to Paris where she earned her Masters degree and forayed into fashion photography.

She has lived in Beijing, Shanghai and Istanbul on arts exchange programs and currently lives in New York City, where she works as a photographer in event and fashion industries as well as continuing her arts practice.
